Some Simple Tips to Maintain a Bounce House in Utah

When it comes to having a party, nothing brings the fun quite like an over-sized bounce house! Kids can spend hours on end jumping off the walls of the inflatable and going down the slide. While it’s true that renting a bounce house in Utah can be exciting, there are also a few responsibilities you’ll have once you make the rental purchase. These responsibilities primarily include the care and maintenance of the bouncy house while it is under your supervision. By following these tips, you can make sure your kids have a great experience while ensuring that the bounce house is kept in great shape for future parties to come.

Monitor the Party

First and foremost, make sure you have someone attending to the bounce house at all times. Most injuries in an inflatable rental come from the lack of supervision. If more than 5 kids are in the bouncy house at one time, or if a game gets out of hand, that’s when you’ll likely run into issues.

Aside from overall safety, supervision is necessary to make sure kids don’t bring snacks or drinks inside of the bouncy house and make a mess. The last thing you want to have to do at the end of a party is clean up unnecessary spills. Having someone overseeing the house during the party is the safest and easiest way to make sure your party goes off without a hitch.

Sweep it Out

Because most bounce house rentals are set up on the grass, it makes sense that some grass and dirt will be carried inside on the bottoms of little feet. This is completely understandable! However, please do your inflatable rental company in Utah a favor and sweep out any unnecessary wrappers, grass or dirt that gets tracked in over the course of a few hours. This will help the bouncer to stay clean and new for much longer. The worst thing you can do is to roll up the bounce house with dirt and rocks in it because they can wear and tear on the fabric of the house, causing tears.

Clean up any Spills

Even with great supervision, you may not catch every kid bringing food or drink into the bounce house. In the event that food does make it inside and ends up leaving a mess, please clean it immediately! Don’t wait until the end of the party or you’ll have sticky kids and a sticky house – making the mess that much worse. Use some disinfectant spray (NO bleach) to clean the surface of the bouncy house and use a paper towel to wipe up the mess.

Report any Scuffs

Last of all, if there are any mishaps during the unrolling or folding up of the bounce house and some scuffs occur, PLEASE let your bounce house rental company in Utah know! If we know about scuffs or small tears right when they happen, we can usually fix them without issue. If we don’t know about it and don’t happen to catch it during our cleaning checks, they could get much worse and cause a long-lasting issue.

Follow these steps to make your bounce house rental as stress-free and fun as possible. Have a great party!

Seriously a good advice here. Taking proper care of your bounce houses is so important. I’ve rented bounce houses from Let’s Jump Salt Lake City and have always received a clean and colorful bouncer.

I would recommend Let’s Jump Utah to anyone!

That’s a good tip to sweep out your bounce house. You wouldn’t debris flying around unnecessarily. My daughter is turning three, so I might have to rent a small bounce house for her.
